Show us the money!

Inquietante, contrariamente al Nobel Krugman (oggi su Repubblica, con tanto ottimismo "rivoluzionario" sull'avvento di Barack Hussein Obama), l'opinione un po' cruda di Thomas Friedman sul New Yorker! Che però credo corrisponda al vero:

So to everyone overseas I say: thanks for your applause for our new president. I’m glad you all feel that America “is back.” If you want Obama to succeed, though, don’t just show us the love, show us the money. Show us the troops. Show us the diplomatic effort. Show us the economic partnership. Show us something more than a fresh smile. Because freedom is not free and your excuse for doing less than you could is leaving town in January.

Non traduco, è molto semplice! Insomma: mentre tutti attendono Obama, qualche influente americano tende a dire (giustamente a mio avviso) che anche noi europei dobbiamo aiutarlo a risovere la crisi, continuando ad occuparci INSIEME della sicurezza del mondo. Ci chiedono denaro, soldati, serie misure anti-recessione, patti economici chiari...E DIRE CHE EUGENIO SCALFARI OGGI SVELA AGLI EUROPEI CHE LA MAGGIORE LIQUIDITA' CREATA DALLE BANCHE CENTRALI PER FACILITARE LA CIRCOLAZIONE DEL DENARO TRA LE AZIENDE DI CREDITO HA FINORA COMPORTATO L'AUMENTO DEI DEPOSITI DELLE STESSE BANCHE COMMERCIALI SUI FONDI GIACENTI A FRANCOFORTE. PERCHE' COSI' CI GUADAGNANO DI PIU' CHE A DAR DENARO AL'ECONOMIA REALE. Insomma si verifica ancora una volta la verità di Krugman: il pensiero conservatore si basa sul concetto essenziale della continua riproduzione dell'AVIDITA'
